CHAPTER 1- SQUASHING THE REBELLION

A well known hero of the MIthirl Alliance has begun rallying the dwarven people on the outskirt villages in order to lead them into Duchy of Pembroke territory to reclaim mines once posessed by their dwarven ancestors. Becoming aware of this information via their spy network, the duchy of pembroke has taken the actions of this dwarven hero to be the will of the mithril alliance, and has decided to launch a preliminary strike upon this dwarven hero to squash this war before it begins. Pembroke forces march to the village of Erobeth, where they catch this dwarven hero in the act of recruiting the townspeople.

 

After a brief setup, the dwarves form into ranks with a champion in each linebreaker unit, with a few archers support units on the sides. Guarding the flanks are the mighty indriks, who defend against the ever present cavalry pembroke is known for.

Pembroke sets up its vast army of skeletons  in their forward positions with their cavalry unit on the eastern side of the village. Their mages lie behind the skeletons ready to lead their undead force into combat.

​

As everyone marches forward, a few skeletons move a big sluggish as well as some cavalry. Arrows are fired into the skeletons many times, with a great deal of hits (Being reduced for their uncaring).

​

The battle begins to get intense as units engage on 5 different positions, the indriks taking the blunt of the attack and the cavalry ever approaching and firing their bows.

​

The champions hack the skeletons to pieces, while the cavalry unit decimates a dwarven archer unit on the flank. As engagement timings remain close, the dwarven hero seems to be able to command his units at just the right time and start each turn, ever increasing the pembroke attrition.

​

As the sun sets, the remaining pembroke forces retreat, with the mithril alliance further fueled to rage towards their southern neighbor, pembroke.

CHAPTER 2- RACE TO ORILETH

As the news reaches the leaders of both nations, immediately they both know they must march to orilith, a neutral ground between each nation, in order to claim the prize between. As the dwarves set their sights on the Caverns near Orileth and Pembroke it's special trees, both forces clash at the Orileth river. The dwarves, fortunate enough to arrive on site just hours before Pembroke, set up a defensive position that pembroke is nearly able to overcome. Despite many of the dwarves and goblins turning to run, when the dust settles, the margin of victory narrowly goes to the Mithril alliance.

Chapter 3- High Exalted's Deep Strike
 

And even still, the elemental of the Mithril Alliance is crafty and strategic. With great stealth, a small strike force is ordered deep into pembroke territory to strike at the undead city and hopefully shake the never ending supply of pembroke skeletons. The MIthril alliance sends one of their highest exalted, mages of the alliance, to carry out this mission. Pembroke however, did not break so easily. As the Strike force sought to tear down the oathmarks of the city, the Exalted is incapable of casting and the mithril alliance units begin to be shaken amidst the fray. As the dwarves lose their indrik with some amazing arrows and the remaining soldiers turn tail and run, the battle is lost. The Exalted is slain, and news returns to pembroke.

Chapter 4- Blood on the Frozen Glade

​

Seeking to open the door to further strikes into Mithril Alliance territory, Pembroke sends a human force into the frozen glade to use it's magic for their own purposes. Unfortunately, the Mithril Alliance is prepared for the attack, utilizing new monsters and tactics to securely defend it's oathmarks. The surma prove to be too much, as the oathmarks of the glade are defended and Pembroke sent back to plot further.

Chapter 5- Clash of Two armies

​

As things become difficult for the elemental, the favor of the people going to bori and the support from the Exalted waning at the loss of one of their high mages, The elemental launches a quick strike at Pembroke borderlands, only to find Pembroke on the march against them doing the exact same! After much struggle, the dwarves emerge victorious, claiming the Pembroke rivers as their new lands!

Chapter 6- Charge through the smoke

​

The mithril alliance continues to press the attack through pembroke territory, tasked with crossing enemy battle lines in order to claim new land. Pembroke however, readies their forces to hold the border. Clouds of smoke fill the battlefield at the hands of the Mithril Alliance, as prince Robblerock joins the mithril forces. The army crowds behind the abandoned ruins to hide from artillery fire, but fail to advance quick enough to get to the battle lines before reinforcements arrive. The battle is lost for the Alliance, and the dwarves retreat to find that the Rivers have been retaken by Pembroke in the midst of the fray. The forces retreat to their battle lines and prepare for the next skirmsih!
