The history of the ancient goblin catapult- vilecrow

In the days before the Shaking, we had much and yet not enough. Our mountains were rich with the blue shine rock, and we were happy. But our blue shine rock shined upon Goraboar, dragon of the nearby mountain. His belly was a fire pit, and it hungered for our cache.

We hurled our arrows at Goraboar, but swift was he! Foul! Vile! Each passing swoop he cooked our kin. Our numbers were dwindling. Our catapults were few... And as Goraboar passed over the last catapult, a goblin by the name of Walshy Mudbrain escaped the flame. The catapult charred and burning, Walshy aimed and sent a stone hurtling into Goraboar.

The dragon realized too late that the big rock was going to his face.

Goraboar was knocked unconscious and plummeted to the ground place. As he came to, goblins had already swarmed him like ants to a carcass. Goraboar was slain by 100 spears. And to this day, this catapult remains, and is known as “Vilecrow”, to speak of its charred black body. The skull of Walshy remain fastened to the front, and the skulls of its former lead engineers.
